The Four Factors: My Personal Worldview/Philosophy. This is a ten part series that explains the process of the developing of my personal worldview/philosophy based on Biblical parameters. Everything that comes at us information wise is the product of somebody’s worldview/philosophy; yet I was never equipped to discern between philosophies nor had I before developed my own based on what I believed. This series is to demonstrate how I developed my own personal standpoint and therefore giving me the tools to discern other standpoints and to remain coherent in the standpoint I choose to live by.
1. My Personal Biblical Worldview/Philosophy: The Welt-Bild.
The first stage is to recognize the cultural tendencies I assume. The Hebrews were of a non-western cultural tendency that believed in God as the Creator- Open System. I should do the same.

2. My Personal Biblical Worldview/Philosophy: Choosing my source of Reliable Knowledge (Epistemology 1A.).
The Hebrews being non-western in cultural tendencies chose External Authority as their source of reliable knowledge; that being God as revealed by Special and General revelation. My wanting to follow Biblical parameters have decided to adopt the Hebrew perspective.
3. My Personal Biblical Worldview/Philosophy: Establishing the Rules for Thinking (Metaphysics #1).
I now need to answer some questions about what is real. The answers must come from my source of Reliable Knowledge. The first question is about God (Theology). Does He exist? Where?
4. My Personal Biblical Worldview/Philosophy: Establishing the Rules for Thinking (Metaphysics #2).
The next question is about what is Real (Ontology)? Is reality only in the mind? Or do real objects independently exist? Realism versus Idealism. The Hebrews believed God created a real heavens and earth; and that there is real place of judgment. I need to assume the same position if I am to understand the Scriptures as they did.
5. My Personal Biblical Worldview/Philosophy: Establishing the Rules for Thinking (Metaphysics #3).
Now I need to determine the First Cause (Universal Science); what is the Origin of all things? My Reliable Source tells me that it was God who created all things; He is the only One that can give meaning to my life.
6. My Personal Biblical Worldview/Philosophy: Choosing my Methods for attaining Reliable Knowledge (Epistemology 1B.).
My first method is using Human Reason, but as guided by the Spirit of Truth and God’s Revelation.
7. My Personal Biblical Worldview/Philosophy: Choosing my Methods for attaining Reliable Knowledge (Epistemology 1B.).
My second method is using empiricism, which means to use the human senses such as observation, but as guided by the Spirit of Truth and God’s Revelation.
8. My Personal Biblical Worldview/Philosophy: Choosing my Methods for attaining Reliable Knowledge (Epistemology 1B.).
My third method would be Skepticism; not to blindly accept what others may say, but to verify it against my source of Reliable Knowledge as guided by the Spirit of Truth.
9. My Personal Biblical Worldview/Philosophy: the Construction of a model that reflects my personal Logic based on all the previous steps (Logic).
Would be logical for me to believe in God? Yes. Your logic may be different based on how you answered the previous steps.
10. My Personal Biblical Worldview/Philosophy: What I value (Axiology).
My chief end is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever as understood from my Reliable Source of Knowledge.
